The California Department of Public Health collects and analyzes all of the safety information related to eating finfish and shellfish taken from state waters. Information regarding recommended servings per week based on mercury levels for various species of fish can be found on OEHHA's Fish Advisories web page or in the most recent Ocean Sport Fishing Regulations booklet (PDF).
