Office of Spill Prevention and Response

CDFW's Office of Spill Prevention and Response (OSPR) is the state’s lead for response to oil spills in its inland and marine waters. OSPR aims for best achievable protection of California’s natural resources.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, all drills are being scheduled remotely until further notice. Crews are still actively responding to spills, with specific COVID safety protocols in effect to protect staff, stakeholders and the public. (Updated August 26, 2020)
