The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is now accepting applications for deer hunting opportunities at the Cosumnes River Ecological Reserve in Sacramento County for the 2024 A Zone general season and the D-5 Zone archery and general seasons.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is now accepting applications for a limited number of deer hunting access permits at the Los Banos and North Grasslands wildlife areas for the last week of the A Zone deer season, Sept. 16 through Sept. 22.

A sophisticated conspiracy to commit wildlife violations by seven men resulted in the arrest, prosecution, fines and jail terms for the subjects, CDFW and Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced.

CDFW is now accepting applications for a limited number of deer and pig hunting access permits for opening weekend, Aug. 10 and 11, 2024, in Zone A for the general season. This is not a special hunt; the drawing is to control the number of hunters in these areas on opening weekend only.
