CDFW Funds 10 Projects Across the Golden State to Boost Recreational Boating Access

Today the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) announced the award of $7.5 million in grants for 10 projects that support public recreational boating access to state waterways. These projects are federally funded by the Sport Fish Restoration Grant Program, administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), which provides funds to state fish and wildlife agencies for fishery projects, boating access and aquatic education.

Emergency Actions for Streams and Rivers

Notice Concerning Emergency Actions in Streams, Lakes, and Rivers

Advance notification is not required for emergency work in streams, lakes, and rivers carried out pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1610. Typical emergency projects have been immediate actions during or immediately after an emergency to repair, in kind, a structure or facility, or to remove debris. Individuals must notify CDFW in writing within 14 days after beginning the emergency work.
