The inorganic laboratory section provides statewide chemistry support to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) and examines a variety of water and wastewater analytes for pollution enforcement investigations and monitoring, including the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program. The Inorganic Laboratory provides analytical support to CDFW hatcheries and pollution response incidents. The inorganic section is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation including Lachat Flow Injection Analyzers QuikChem 8500-series 1 and series 2.
