California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Endangered Species Conservation and Recovery Program Grant (ESCRP; also referred to as the Traditional Section 6 Grant Program) Proposal Solicitation Notice (PSN), is now posted on the ESCRP web page. The application period is open December 16, 2022 – January 27, 2023. See the PSN for application instructions.

The 2023 FRGP Draft Proposal Solicitation Notice (Word) and Guidelines (Word) care available for public review. A summary of the PSN updates is available in the 2023 PSN FAQ (Word). Comments may be submitted to CDFW via email to FRGP@wildlife.ca.gov. Deadline for public comments is December 15, 2022, by 4:00 p.m.

CDFW will host an online Public Workshop to discuss the 2023 solicitation and collect comments from the public on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.

CDFW today announced the availability of over $200 million in new funding for multi-benefit ecosystem restoration and protection projects under Drought, Climate and Nature-Based Solutions Initiatives.

The Watershed Restoration Grants Branch (WRGB) has released its Call for Concepts (PDF) outlining the availability and process for applying for this funding, as well as updated WRGB General Grant Programs Guidelines (PDF) for all programs including detailed information on eligibility, project types, program and funding requirements.

To support these new initiatives, WRGB has launched a new, single application portal which will remain available on an ongoing basis, allowing applicants to submit one application for consideration under multiple funding streams. Concept proposals must be submitted electronically through CDFW WebGrants.

CDFW is now accepting applications for projects under the Upland Game Bird Account Grant Program, which benefit upland game bird populations and the habitats upon which they depend. The 2022 Upland Game Bird Account Grant Program Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) outlines the priorities and requirements to apply.

The deadline for applications is September 15, 2022, by 4:00 p.m. PT.

CDFW awards $26 Million for Ecosystem and Watershed Restoration, Protection and Scientific Study Projects Statewide in response to the 2022 Proposal Solicitation Notice.

California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (CDFW), Cannabis Restoration Grant Program (CRGP) released the Public Land Cleanup and Remediation Solicitation and the Watershed Enhancement Solicitation, and they are both now open for application submissions in WebGrants.

For reference, a Microsoft Word version of the 2022 Public Land Cleanup and Remediation Application Template (Word) and a Microsoft Word version of the 2022 Watershed Enhancement Application Template (Word) are available. Due date for applications is June 3, 2022, at 4:00 PM in WebGrants.

Today CDFW released its Cannabis Restoration Grant Program 2022 Draft Public Land Cleanup and Remediation Solicitation (PDF), as well as the 2022 Draft Watershed Enhancement Solicitation (PDF) for public review and input. Comments may be submitted to canngrantprogram@wildlife.ca.gov. The deadline for public comments is Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. PDT.

CDFW will also host an online public meeting (PDF) on April 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, to review the draft solicitations and gather comments from the public.
