Send Correspondence to CDFW

To send correspondence, documents, and other attachments to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), use the Correspondence component.

(Note: This component can only be used once your LSA notification has been deemed complete by CDFW.)

Step-by-step instructions for sending correspondence to CDFW

  1. From the left navigation panel, select Permits button in left navigation panel.
  2. Select the “Project Name” for the Agreement that you want to submit a document/correspondence for.
  3. Select the Correspondence component from the “Permit Components” list.
  4. Click Add Permittee Correspondence button.
  5. “To” – Select the available contacts that should receive the correspondence.
  6. “CC” – Optional, add additional emails to send the correspondence to. Use a semicolon (;) to separate multiple emails. Do not use spaces or colons (:).
  7. “Subject” – Enter a subject for the correspondence.
  8. “Message” – Enter the message.
  9. “Attachment 1–5” – Attach up to five documents by clicking Select file button. To send additional documents repeat steps 4–10.
  10. When finished, click Send Correspondence button.
    • After sending, the correspondence will go to the contacts in the “To” and “CC” fields.
