Without knowing the dimensions of your device, it’s hard to say if they comply with hoop net definitions set in regulations. We have two types of hoop nets in regulations; Type A is fully collapsible and Type B is considered "rigid-style". See the hoop net definitions in Section 29.80(b)(4)(A) and (b)(4)(B) for these two types, respectively.
A summary of regulations for hoop nets posted on our Crabs web page should also be helpful. If your devices fit the definition of "hoop net" in regulations, then you can use them during any crab trap restriction in place during the Dungeness crab season.
