Lake Sonoma Turkey Hunts

**PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT NON-LEAD AMMUNITION IS REQUIRED FOR LAKE SONOMA TURKEY HUNTS**

CDFW, in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), is pleased to offer Spring turkey hunts held on USACE property at Lake Sonoma, Sonoma County.

The Lake Sonoma Spring Turkey Hunt Program consists of non-fee, limited-permit hunts that are open ONLY to successful applicants on specific dates during the appropriate spring turkey hunt seasons. The Lake Sonoma Turkey Hunt Area is not open to the public for turkey hunting except for this special hunting opportunity. The Lake Sonoma turkey hunts are SHOTGUN ONLY.

The Lake Sonoma Turkey Hunt Program includes both an Apprentice (Junior) Only Hunt Period and a General Hunt Period. Drawn hunt parties will be allowed to hunt the Lake Sonoma Turkey Hunt Area during the range of dates specified in the hunt period.

Thirty hunters total in hunt party sizes of no more than two (2) hunters will be drawn each for the Apprentice (Junior) Hunt Period and the General Hunt Period. For the Apprentice (Junior) Hunt, one hunter must possess a valid California Junior hunting license and may include either another licensed Junior hunter or a licensed Adult hunter on the hunt party application. Two Junior hunters must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult.

Applications MUST be received on or before the application deadline date. Applicants may only submit once per Hunt Period. Multiple applications from any party for a particular Hunt Period will result in disqualification from the drawing. Successful applicants will be selected by random drawing and notified approximately 10-15 days prior to the hunt by electronic mail.

Important: All hunter names must be included on the on-line application form at the time of submission. Do not include non-hunters on your application. This hunt is non-transferable and there will be no substitution of hunters.
