Grant Application Opportunities and Notices

CDFW is now accepting applications for multi-benefit ecosystem restoration and protection projects under its Proposition 1 Grant Programs. The 2022 Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) outlines the priorities and requirements to apply.

The deadline for applications is March 4, 2022, by 4:00 p.m. PDT. Applications must be submitted via CDFW WebGrants.

CDFW will host an online application workshop (PDF), February 2, 2022, to review the application process. This workshop is optional and not required to apply.

Today CDFW released its Draft 2022 Proposition 1 Restoration Grant Programs Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) for public review and input. Comments may be submitted to WatershedGrants@wildlife.ca.gov. The deadline for public comments is Friday, January 21, 2022 at 4:00 PM PDT.

CDFW will also host an online public meeting (PDF) on January 19, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. PDT, to review the draft solicitation and gather comments from the public.

CDFW announced the selection of 15 projects to receive $9.7 million in funding through the Fisheries Restoration Grant Program (FRGP). These awards were made in response to the 2021 Fisheries Habitat Restoration Grant Solicitation, which received 61 proposals seeking more than $35.9 million in funding.

CDFW is now accepting Proposition 1 consultation requests for its 2022 solicitation. Requesting a consultation is optional and not required to apply. Potential applicants may use the Consultation Request Form to request a consultation with CDFW staff.

Consultations provide an opportunity to learn more about CDFW’s Proposition 1 Restoration Grant Program and ask questions of CDFW staff. CDFW encourages prospective applicants to request a consultation early, as appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
