The success of this fishery management plan process largely depends on the continued involvement of the recreational abalone fishing community as well as the general public. There are a number of ways members of the public can participate in this process:
Sign up for the mailing list
An online email service has been created to help keep stakeholders and the interested public informed about the Red Abalone FMP process and will be used for notifying interested parties about activities related to the FMP. To join the list, click the link above. You will only asked to submit your name and email address.
For those who cannot receive email, sign up to receive announcements via the U.S. Postal Service ("snail mail") by contacting Jerry Kashiwada at (707) 964-5791 to provide your name and mailing address.
Note that you may sign up for the email service OR receive announcements through snail mail, but not both. To reduce expense and impacts on the environment, we request that those able to receive email sign up for the email service.
To terminate your subscription to the email service, simply click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any of the Red Abalone FMP emails. To unsubscribe from U.S. mail, please call Jerry Kashiwada at (707) 964-5791 and request to be removed.
