Jan. 11, 2012: Yesterday we had no location information due to cloud cover. In the past 48 hours, OR7 has made a significant dispersal movement east and as of 0600 this morning was in northern Lassen County.

Jan. 10, 2012:  Cloud cover this morning prevented a transfer of GPS location data for wolf OR7 today. The weather forecast for the next several days suggests we will have more information tomorrow.

Jan. 9, 2012: Wolf OR7 moved only a few miles in the past 24 hours and remains in eastern Shasta County.

Jan. 6, 2012: OR7 remains in eastern Shasta County this morning. His 24 hour movements suggest  he is continuing a dispersal behavior but I'll characterize the extent of his travel in that period as moderate. This animal can easily cover more than 40 miles (straight line distance) in a day, and of course, an even greater distance as a wolf travels. He remains in forested habitat providing both cover and food resources.
