Public Notice of Department Rulemaking: Proposed Regulations for Scientific Collecting Permits (SCP), Amend Sections 650 and 703, Title 14, California Code of Regulations (CCR)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (Department) has published the Notice of Proposed Action to amend Sections 650 and 703, Title 14, CCR (OAL Z#2024-0806-07, California Regulatory Notice Register). The proposed amendments to Section 650 update the California Terrestrial and Vernal Pool Invertebrates of Conservation Priority List (TVPICP List)”, to ensure that the Department utilizes the most up-to-date information related to the issuance of SCPs for terrestrial invertebrates. The proposed amendments to Section 703, T14, CCR, update the SCP application and amendment forms to reference the new TVPIVP List.

Written Comment Period

The Department is seeking comments on the proposed amendments. Your input can be provided to CDFW through direct communication prior to or at the public hearing. Any interested person, or his or her authorized representative, may submit written comments on the proposed action to the Department.
