OAL approval of Department Rulemaking: Proposed Regulations for Scientific Collecting Permits (SCP): Terrestrial and Vernal Pool Invertebrates of Conservation Priority List, Amend Sections 650 and 703, Title 14, California Code of Regulations (CCR)

In accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approved on November 26, 2024, the regulatory action to amend Sections 650 and 703, Title 14, California Code of Regulations (CCR). The OAL regulatory file number for this OAL action is 2024-1015-01S. The new regulations are effective as of January 1, 2025. The final approval to the rulemaking file consists of the following documents:

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (Department) has published the Notice of Proposed Action to amend Sections 650 and 703, Title 14, CCR (OAL Z#2024-0806-07, California Regulatory Notice Register). The proposed amendments to section 650 update the "California Terrestrial and Vernal Pool Invertebrates of Conservation Priority list (TVPICP list)”, to ensure that the Department utilizes the most up-to-date information related to the issuance of SCPs for terrestrial invertebrates. The proposed amendments to section 703, T14, CCR, update the SCP application and amendment forms to reference the new TVPICP list.
