Trapping reports can be submitted through the Department's Online License Service.

Fees

Fees include a nonrefundable three percent (3%) application fee, not to exceed $7.50 per item. (Section 700.4, Title 14, California Code of Regulations) Items purchased from Online License Sales and Services will include five percent (5%) nonrefundable license agent handling fee.

Entitlements 2024 Fee Description
Trapping License, Resident $154.24 Issued to a person who traps fur-bearing or nongame mammals for pest control purposes.
Trapping License, Nonresident $760.00 Issued to a nonresident who traps fur-bearing or nongame mammals for pest control purposes. May only be issued if the state in which the applicant resides provides for issuance of a nonresident trapping license to California residents.
Trapping License, Junior $52.02 Issued to a resident who is less than 16 years of age, who traps fur-bearing or nongame mammals for pest control purposes.
