Project WILD is a wildlife-based conservation and environmental education program that fosters responsible actions toward wildlife and related natural resources. Project WILD activity guides provide curriculum specially designed for educators of kindergarten through high school youth. Professional development training and educational materials are available through workshop participation.
If you are an educator, either working in the formal PreK-12 education sector or as an informal science educator, you can receive training to become a certified ProjectWILD educator! To join the waitlist and to be notified of upcoming trainings in your region, please fill out the educator intake form.
As trainings become available in your area, a facilitator will reach out to you with workshop details and registration information. Trainings are offered both in person and digitally through Teams video conferencing sessions. ProjectWILD is coordinated through CDFW and trained facilitators are located regionally. CDFW also partners with educators at the Santa Ana Zoo to offer programs in Southern California.
