Los Banos Wildlife Area Hunt, Merced County - September 1, 2026 (1401)
Area will accommodate 100 hunters total (max party size of 3). Permit will be required for the morning hunt. Hunters without a reservation may sign up for a lottery the night before at the Los Banos check station. Reservations will be taken starting 2 hours before shoot time and will be void one hour before legal shoot time. North Grasslands Wildlife Area, Salt Slough Unit, Merced County - September 1, 2026 (1601)
Area will accommodate 45 hunters (max party size of 3). Permit will be required for the morning hunt. Hunters without a reservation may sign up for a lottery the night before at the Salt Slough check station. Reservations will be taken first, starting 2 hours before shoot time. Any remaining space will be filled from the lottery list. Reservations will be void one hour before legal shoot time. Hunt area is located about 12 miles west of Mendota adjacent to the California Aqueduct. (Afternoon hunt) A Junior hunter must create the initial application and then adults or additional juniors may join the party. Only hunters who apply and are successfully drawn will be allowed to hunt. If you wish to hunt as a group each hunter must apply with the same party number generated by the first Jr applicant.
