The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has published a document intended to assist CDFW staff, project proponents and others in understanding where and when four bumble bee species that are candidates for listing under the California Endangered Species Act may be present on the landscape and provide examples of measures that may help avoid or minimize impacts to them.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) National Archery in the Schools Program (CalNASP) is excited to announce the 2025-26 grant cycle is now open.

CDFW has returned California’s only native sunfish – the Sacramento perch – to its namesake city and county, recently stocking 3,000 mostly juvenile fish into a pond at Granite Regional Park to create a unique urban fishing opportunity.
