CDFW is now accepting Proposition 1 consultation requests for its 2022 solicitation. Requesting a consultation is optional and not required to apply. Potential applicants may use the Consultation Request Form to request a consultation with CDFW staff.

Consultations provide an opportunity to learn more about CDFW’s Proposition 1 Restoration Grant Program and ask questions of CDFW staff. CDFW encourages prospective applicants to request a consultation early, as appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The deadline to submit pre-applications for CDFW’s Proposition 1 North Coast Coho Recovery Solicitation is Thursday, September 30, 2021, by 4:00 p.m. PDT.

The 2021 North Coast Coho Recovery Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) outlines the solicitation priority and requirements to apply. Applications must be submitted via CDFW WebGrants.

CDFW is now accepting pre-application proposals for projects under its Proposition 1 Restoration Grant Program. The 2021 North Coast Coho Recovery Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) outlines the priorities and requirements to apply. This Solicitation is part of CDFW’s Cutting the Green Tape Initiative to increase the pace and scale of restoration through permitting and granting efficiencies.

The deadline for pre-applications is September 30, 2021, by 4:00 p.m. PDT. Applications must be submitted via CDFW WebGrants. All applicants are required to submit a pre-application proposal to be eligible for submittal of a full application.

CDFW will host an online pre-application workshop (PDF) on September 8, 2021, to review the application process. This workshop is optional and not required to apply.

CDFW is now accepting concept proposals and scheduling consultations for the Summer 2021 North Coast Coho Recovery Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) until July 31, 2021.

Additionally, CDFW will host a public workshop (PDF) to provide an overview of the concept proposal and project-specific consultation process on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

CDFW awards $39 Million for Ecosystem and Watershed Restoration, Protection and Scientific Study Projects Statewide in response to the 2021 Proposal Solicitation Notice.

As a reminder, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is hosting two workshops focused on restoration granting and permitting under its Cutting the Green Tape initiative. This Friday, CDFW will provide an overview and seek feedback from the public on the development of a planned Summer 2021 Grant Solicitation focused on four watersheds within CDFW’s North Coast Salmon Project that will also pilot efficiencies developed under Cutting the Green Tape. Next week, a second workshop will focus on restoration permitting, including an overview of existing and new project-specific permitting options and case studies, led by CDFW permitting specialists.

These workshops will provide an opportunity to provide the public an update on CDFW’s Cutting the Green Tape initiative, a collective effort to develop and implement improvements to our support of ecosystem restoration, including granting and permitting processes.
