CDFW’s Cutting the Green Tape program is a statewide effort, representing environmental permitting and grant funding programs with added support from general counsel and executive leadership. This program is leading efforts to develop and implement improvements to how CDFW issues permits and administers its grant programs, to accelerate the pace and scale of restoration throughout the state.

November 18, 2021 Public Meeting Presentation and Recording Available

The November 18, 2021 public meeting recording (Video)(opens in new tab) and slide presentation (PDF)(opens in new tab) on CDFW’s new Cutting the Green Tape (CGT) Program and CDFW’s role in the new California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Statutory Exemption for Fish and Wildlife Restoration Projects (SERP) process are now available.

2021 North Coast Coho Recovery Solicitation Released

CDFW is now accepting pre-application proposals for the 2021 North Coast Coho Recovery Proposal Solicitation (PDF)(opens in new tab). Pre-application proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. on September 30, 2021, through CDFW WebGrants.

For reference, a Microsoft Word version of the Pre-application Template (Word) is available. A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)(PDF(opens in new tab)) is also available. The FAQ will be updated as questions are submitted to WatershedGrants@wildlife.ca.gov.

CDFW will host an online pre-application workshop (PDF)(opens in new tab) to walk through the application process on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
