Regulatory Strategies to Advance Restoration: the New Restoration Management Permit & Workshopping Different Permit Pathways

The final webinar of the Regulatory Strategies to Advance Restoration series will take place on May 21st, where you will hear about CA Department of Fish and Wildlife’s new Restoration Management Permit (RMP) and early examples of projects that are utilizing it. Practitioners’ needs and challenges will also be discussed in thematic breakout discussions.

On September 7, 2022, the California Landscape Stewardship Network hosted the 5th virtual Cutting Green Tape Exchange with the California Natural Resources Agency. Watch a recording of the exchange (Video) for updates on the initiative from CDFW and other partners.

The November 18, 2021 public meeting recording (Video) and slide presentation (PDF) on CDFW’s new Cutting the Green Tape (CGT) Program and CDFW’s role in the new California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Statutory Exemption for Fish and Wildlife Restoration Projects (SERP) process are now available.

CDFW is now accepting pre-application proposals for the 2021 North Coast Coho Recovery Proposal Solicitation (PDF). Pre-application proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. on September 30, 2021, through CDFW WebGrants.

For reference, a Microsoft Word version of the Pre-application Template (Word) is available. Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) (PDF) are also available. The FAQ will be updated as questions are submitted to WatershedGrants@wildlife.ca.gov.

CDFW will host an online pre-application workshop (PDF) to walk through the application process on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
