Watsonville Slough Ecological Reserve

Description

The Watsonville Slough Ecological Reserve is 589 acres of coastal and valley freshwater marsh habitat. The property was received from Hyponex Corporation of Indiana, as part of a mitigation agreement, and was acquired to protect its excellent wetland values. It was designated as an ecological reserve by the Fish and Game Commission in 1998.
