September 7, 2021 - Proposition 1 Grant Guidelines Revised

August 30, 2021 - 2021 North Coast Coho Recovery Solicitation Released

CDFW is now accepting pre-application proposals for the 2021 North Coast Coho Recovery Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF)(opens in new tab). Pre-application proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. on September 30, 2021, through CDFW WebGrants.

For reference, a Microsoft Word version of the Pre-application Template (Word) is available. A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)(PDF)(opens in new tab) is also available. The FAQ will be updated as questions are submitted to WatershedGrants@wildlife.ca.gov.

CDFW will host an online pre-application workshop (PDF)(opens in new tab) to walk through the application process on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

June 23, 2021 - Summer 2021 North Coast Coho Recovery Call for Concepts

CDFW is now accepting concept proposals and scheduling consultations for the Summer 2021 North Coast Coho Recovery Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF)(opens in new tab) until July 31, 2021.

CDFW will host a public workshop (PDF)(opens in new tab) to provide an overview of the concept proposal and project-specific consultation process on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

June 17, 2021 - 2021 Proposition 1 Restoration Grant Programs Awards Announced

CDFW awards $39 Million for Ecosystem and Watershed Restoration, Protection and Scientific Study Projects Statewide in response to the 2021 Proposal Solicitation Notice.

December 2, 2020 - Draft 2021 Proposition 1 Solicitation Released

The 2021 Proposition 1 Draft Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF)(opens in new tab) is available for public review. Comments may be submitted to CDFW via email to WatershedGrants@wildlife.ca.gov. Deadline for public comments is December 18, 2020, by 4:00 p.m.

CDFW will host an online Public Meeting (PDF)(opens in new tab) to discuss the 2021 solicitation and application process on Monday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m.

April 15, 2020 - Questions about COVID-19 Impacts on Grants

In response to questions received with regard to grant projects and programs constrained by the COVID-19 emergency, CDFW has developed a Frequently Asked Questions (PDF)(opens in new tab) document. Please review and feel free to submit questions related to COVID-19 impacts on grants to WatershedGrants@wildlife.ca.gov.

March 25, 2020 - Second of Two Awards Announced - Prop 1

CDFW today announced $31 Million in Proposition 1 funds have been awarded(opens in new tab) in response to the 2020 Proposal Solicitation Notice. Today's press release(opens in new tab) also includes the $6 Million in Proposition 68 awards announced February 5, 2020.

Additionally, CDFW recognizes the numerous challenges related to COVID-19 our restoration community continues to face. CDFW's Watershed Restoration Grants Branch is continuing its work to support ongoing grant projects and will work to implement newly awarded projects as intended and on schedule. We will work with applicants to incorporate necessary accommodations under these current circumstances.

February 5, 2020 - First of Two Award Announcements - Prop 68

CDFW today awarded $6 Million in Proposition 68 funds in response to the 2020 Proposal Solicitation Notice. Proposals not awarded today are still eligible for Proposition 1 funding, tentatively slated for late March 2020 announcement.
