October 2, 2019 - Final 2020 Solicitation Released - Guidelines Updated

The 2020 Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) is now available. The Proposition 1 Grant Program Guidelines (PDF) have also been updated.

May 13, 2019 - Awards Announced

CDFW awards 38 projects $48.5 Million in Proposition 1 & 68 funding, following solicitations for Delta Science and Statewide projects.

2019 Propositions 1 & 68 Solicitation Closed
CDFW received 141 proposals seeking approximately $179 million in response to the 2018 Proposition 1 & 68 Proposal Solicitation Notice.

Delta Science Solicitation Closed
CDFW and the Delta Science Program (DSP) received 62 proposals seeking over $43 million in response to the FY 2019-20 Delta Science Proposal Solicitation Notice.

Draft 2020 Proposition 1 & 68 Solicitation Released
The 2020 Proposition 1 and Proposition 68 Draft Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) is available for public review. Comments may be submitted to CDFW via email to WatershedGrants@wildlife.ca.gov. Deadline for public comments is September 6, 2019.

CDFW will host an online public meeting to discuss the 2020 solicitation and application process on Wednesday, August 28, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm PDT. Details to follow.

September 10, 2018 - 2018 Awards Announced
CDFW awards 24 projects $27.8 million in Proposition 1 funding under the Spring 2018 Solicitation.

CDFW and the Delta Science Program (DSP) have released a Draft Joint Delta Science Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) for public review and comment. CDFW and DSP will hold a Public Webinar (PDF) August 21, 2018 to discuss the draft solicitation and receive public comments. CDFW will accept comments through 4:00 p.m., August 31, 2018 via email at WatershedGrants@wildlife.ca.gov.

Resilience, Recovery, and Response Proposal Solicitation Notice closed. CDFW received 46 proposals with a total requested funding of about $45 million.

A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) (PDF) has been posted for the FY 2018-19 Resilience, Recovery, and Response Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) The FAQ will be updated as questions are submitted to WatershedGrants@wildlife.ca.gov. For reference, a Microsoft Word version of the 2018 Application Template (ZIP) is available. The second application workshop is scheduled for May 30, 2018 (PDF).

CDFW is now accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2018-19 Resilience, Recovery, and Response Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF). Proposals are due June 13, 2018 through CDFW Webgrants

March 2, 2017 - Southern California Workshop Materials Available
CDFW, along with the Coastal Conservancy, Wildlife Conservation Board, Coachella Valley Mountains Conservancy, Baldwin Hills Conservancy, and the Natural Resources Agency conducted four workshops throughout Southern California last week to discuss their respective Proposition 1 funded grant programs. The materials presented at each workshop are available below.

December 2, 2016 - Awards for Fiscal Year 2016-17 will be announced mid-December, 2016
Originally anticipated for November 2016, the awards for the FY 2016-17 Solicitation are now scheduled for the week of December 12, 2016.

October 4, 2016 - Additional Awards Announced for FY 2015-16 Grant Cycle
CDFW announced the award of $9.4 Million to fund additional ecosystem and watershed restoration projects through its Fiscal Year 2015-16 Watershed Restoration Grant Program cycle. These awards were made following an augmentation of Proposition 1 funding for Fiscal Years 2015-16 and 2016-17.

May 19, 2016 - Application Form and Instructions Available in Rich Text Format
Appendix A: Proposal Application Form and Instructions (RTF) is available for applicants to use in developing applications offline prior to submitting. Please note, the final proposal must be submitted online using the FAAST system; applications will not be accepted via the rich text format version.

CDFW will host a public meeting (PDF) to discuss its Draft Fiscal Year 2016-17 Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) for the Proposition 1 Restoration 1 Grant Programs. The public is invited to attend and provide comments and questions on the draft solicitation. Details as follows:
