Fees collected under the Western Joshua Tree Conservation Act (WJTCA) are deposited into the Western Joshua Tree Conservation Fund solely for the purposes of acquiring, conserving, and managing western Joshua tree conservation lands and completing other activities to conserve the western Joshua tree. The graphs below show money spent, committed, and reserved organized by conservation action categories identified in the WJTCA. These categories are: land acquisition and conservation easements, restoration, monitoring, endowments for land management, and transaction costs.
- Funds spent or committed are funds that have been paid out or reserved for pending expenses.
- Funds reserved are estimated costs for specific projects that are pending final approvals.
