The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) today announced nearly $36 million in projects to benefit salmon and their habitats, and to further support climate resiliency, wildlife corridors and wetlands restoration.

At its February 16, 2023, quarterly meeting, the Wildlife Conservation Board approved approximately $51.83 million in grants to help restore and protect fish and wildlife habitat throughout California.

CDFW's Office of Spill Prevention and Response is seeking grant applications to help fund projects that enhance or restore habitat for wildlife, with available funding totaling $750,000. All eligible agencies and projects are encouraged to apply.
