    Final Monterey County Regional Conservation Investment Strategy

    CDFW’s Habitat Conservation Planning Branch’s would like to announce that CDFW has approved the Final Monterey County Regional Conservation Investment Strategy (RCIS), the fifth RCIS approved under the Regional Conservation Investment Strategies Program. This RCIS promotes the conservation of sensitive species, habitats, and other natural resources within Monterey County. The RCIS includes goals and objectives for wildlife and habitat conservation, as well as actions and priorities which can guide investments in ecological resource conservation and potential opportunities for compensatory mitigation for impacts to species and other natural resources.     Arica and Victory Pass Solar Projects Draft Environmental Impact Report and Appendices

    CDFW, consistent with their obligation as the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) lead agency, has analyzed and disclosed the environmental effects of the Projects, in combination, as the “whole of the action” in the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR). By this notice, CDFW is announcing the opening of the 45-day comment period (August 6, 2021, to September 20, 2021). All written comments must be received by September 20, 2021, by 5:00 p.m. (end of the 45-day public review period).
