    CDFW’s Habitat Conservation Planning Branch’s would like to announce the availability of the draft Antelope Valley Regional Conservation Investment Strategy (RCIS) for a 60-day public review and comment period, closing on February 10, 2020. This RCIS advances the conservation of sensitive species, habitats,and other natural resources within northeastern Los Angeles County by providing nonbinding guidance on conservation actions. Guidance includes the identification of wildlife and habitat conservation priorities, investments in ecological resource conservation, and identification of potential opportunities for compensatory mitigation for impacts to species and other natural resources. The draft Antelope Valley RCIS and public comment instructions may be found on the Draft and Approved RCIS Program Document web page.
