New Grant Opportunity: Delta-Based Decontamination Control Sites to Prevent the Spread of Golden Mussel
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is offering $6 million in grant funding to develop or enhance boating decontamination control efforts in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. This funding supports projects that help prevent the spread of invasive golden mussel (Limnoperna fortunei) from the Delta, ensuring the long-term health of California’s waterways.
CDFW will host a webinar to discuss the grant program, application process, and answer questions on Nov. 18, 2026 at 10 a.m.
