Staff Services Analyst — Series

Staff Services Analysts have an exciting role because you can work in a variety of analytical capacities which gives you flexibility to find what analytical area best suits your interests and skillset. Assignments can include Human Resources, Procurement, Contract/Grant Administration, and Program Analysis.

Think of it as exploring the forest of analytical capacities—each assignment offers a different trail to blaze, each with valuable insights and discoveries.

This is an entry level analytical role which is great for new college graduates and professionals alike. It’s a great way to begin your analytical career with CDFW. Accountant Trainee

If numbers are you strong suit, our fiscal team is buzzing with activity, and we're on the lookout for financial adventurers to join our conservation crusade. Depending on your experience and education, we have many levels of fiscal professionals. If you’re new accounting, we have the perfect role that will help you gain valuable experience as well as help contribute to our mission. That is our Accountant Trainee! Our Accountant Trainees perform an array of duties including maintaining records, learning department systems, and fiscal control activities all under the guidance of a professional higher level accountant.

Office Technician

Office Technicians have a crucial role helps all of our teams be successful. There is a variety of work that needs to be performed such as office management, processing forms, reception desk, answering phones, e-mails, answering questions for the general public and employees, mail. We could not keep our organization running without this role. It’s a great way to gain a better understanding of what we do and has a plenty of options where support is needed.

Personnel Specialist

As a Personnel Specialists knack for organization and your ability to juggle multiple tasks are the lifeblood of our operations, ensuring that every email gets answered, every form gets processed, and every question gets addressed.

This role is responsible for tasks such as resolving payroll issues, reviewing and reconciling attendance records, answering employee inquiries, and processing benefit related documents for health, dental and vision benefits.
