A Regional Conservation Assessment (RCA) is:
- A voluntary program resulting in an assessment of biological resources and development areas at the ecoregion-level.
- Proposed by any public agency and developed in coordination with local interested parties and public participation.
- Approved by CDFW and then available to be used by anyone. The information in an RCA may be useful for individuals or entities scoping or planning conservation or development projects.
There are currently no RCAs approved or in development. If you may be interested in developing an RCA, contact the RCIS Program Team at rcis@wildlife.ca.gov.
