Wolf wandering in the forest.

The wolf pack discovered this summer in Tulare County will now be called the Yowlumni Pack. The pack was found in the Sequoia National Forest in proximity to the Tule River Tribe of California’s reservation and ancestral lands. CDFW is honored to partner with the Tribe on formally naming the pack.

California has a new gray wolf pack in Tulare County. This is the Golden State’s southernmost pack and it is at least 200 air miles from the nearest known pack in northeastern California.
