Adult mentors and dog handlers will accompany the new hunters into the field. Advanced registration is required online at <a href="https://nrm.dfg.ca.gov/ApprenticeHunts/Default.aspx">CDFW’s Special and Apprentice Hunts Online Registration website</a>. Spots are filled through a random drawing.</p> <p><span style="color:black"></span></p> <p>The apprentice pheasant hunts return to Del Norte County after an absence of nearly 10 years. The Del Norte County hunts will kick off dozens of apprentice pheasant hunts that will be held throughout California this fall and winter. Apprentice pheasant hunts typically open to online registration a few weeks before their hunt dates.</p> <p><span style="color:black"></span></p> <p>Apprentice pheasant hunts are designed for novice hunters with Junior Hunting Licenses.
